Forget Occupy. Today, hundreds of us unleashed chaos on Wall Street – in the form of a massive Freeze Tag game.
The annual event organised by father-and-sons company Levys’ Tours celebrated its eighth year with two hours of playground favourites, including Blob Tag (where tagged players join hands with the tagger), and a few games I’d never heard of before. There were a few token stretches followed by lots of screaming, a fair few tumbles and some amused looks from the offices above.
This was so much fun. I loved seeing tourists looking perplexed – before they cottoned on and joined us. Some people acted as if outrunning their opponent was the most important task of their lives – it was hilarious. Plus, it felt naughty bringing mayhem to a street usually filled with suits and briefcases.
