
With all these vats of cheese and doughnuts I’ve been consuming, it’s about time I did some exercise. I combined it with a New York must-see by running over the Brooklyn Bridge. Twice actually, if you count there and back.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the clearest night and just as I stepped off the bridge and started running back to SoHo, it started to snow. But clouds or no clouds, I’m always surprised when I look at the enormous Manhattan skyline. I find myself saying, ‘Woah, you’re in New York!’ and not really believing it.

I’ve walked over Brooklyn Bridge many times, both ways. The views are amazing, especially at night when all the skyscrapers are lit up. If you walk over into Brooklyn, there’s a small park as you exit the bridge. Go through the park onto Henry Street, where you’ll find the “Plymouth Deli”. (Around a hundred yards from Brooklyn High Street Subway Station). They do really good food at half Manhattan prices. You get a LOT of food for your money. A bit run down, but well worth a visit. 🙂
