…ran 5k during a rave

I may not be a fan of running and I may not be a fan of Electronic Dance Music, but it turns out I quite like it when they’re mixed together. Last weekend, Ryan and I donned our running shoes – honestly the first time I have worn mine in many, many months years – and drove 40 …

…made cupcakes at Butter Lane

When I lived in Manchester in the UK, I had a gloriously large kitchen – it was new, sparkly and it inspired me to cook. But four years on, and I’m living in a (very pretty) shoebox in Manhattan with virtually no kitchen. So as you’ve seen before, when I have an urge to cook, I quite …

…saw the Manhattan skyline (from the sky)

Today I took a helicopter from the Manhattan heliport near Battery Park and soared over the city, waving to Lady Liberty, construction workers at the top of Freedom Tower, homeowners in Jersey City and the eerily-empty streets of Governor’s Island. It took me about two minutes to realise it wasn’t a simulator.
