I don’t want to jinx it, but I think spring is finally coming. We’ve had a horrendous winter of endless snow days, icy puddles and bone-chilling winds. But this week, those big mounds of snow that have built up on sidewalks for the past three months finally appeared to be melting.

So Ryan and I decided to make the most of it by heading to Prospect Park for a walk with Georgia. You’ll remember that Georgia and I went to the park last year during a snowstorm to meet Santa, so I was looking forward to a warmer visit.

It was a perfect day for it – crisp, sunny and fresh. And Georgia was smiling the whole way.

I always forget how big this park is – and I always lose my bearings. We wandered past the boathouse, beneath bridges and eventually came to the new ice skating center, the LeFrak Center, at the northeast side of the park.P1010361 P1010362 P1010364P1010359 P1010356 P1010366

We continued around the lake and Ryan showed me his fishing spots. Although I’m a strict veggie, I support his fishing hobby – mostly because he’s never caught anything – but I realized today that I’d actually be keen to join because he sets himself down at the quietest, most beautiful parts of the park.
