Blagh, is winter over yet? Before this week, the cold wasn’t bothering me much. But then on Thursday, it turned a little warmer, and I felt like spring was on its way and then… BAM, Friday was the coldest day ever. I felt duped. And now I’m done. Come on spring, where are you?!

1 :: Beautiful walks in Brooklyn Bridge Park :: This was last weekend when the weather was still a bearable cold. We took Georgia on a long walk to the park, which overlooks the Manhattan skyline, and into Brooklyn Heights. I have a gazillion beautiful photos.

2 :: Lovely notes from Mud Coffee :: If you haven’t been to Mud yet (they have a comfy little spot on 9th Street, as well as their famed silver trucks), then please go. It is so delicious — for brunch too!

4 :: Sunday afternoon play readings at BAM :: Last weekend, I went to the Brooklyn Academy of Music to see a reading of a play by my friend Bobby (he’s the one on the right) – a lawyer by day, playwright extraordinaire by night. He penned ‘The Believers’ while at Law School – and it was so powerful. I’ll keep you updated with his next one!

5 :: Live music at Pete’s Candy Store in Williamsburg. My friend Bella played a show in their back music room, which is so intimate and charming. Such a lovely spot for a night of warming music. (Check out her music here.)

6 :: Valentine’s Day treats from Dean & Deluca :: I try to stay away from D&D in SoHo because it is so expensive, but it does have some of the most beautiful baked good and boxes of chocolates (as well as jams and chutneys) if you’re looking for a gift — I always go here to stock up on sweet treats before heading back to the UK.

7 :: Gorgeous morning light :: Although I’m fed up of the cold, I also appreciate that when winter’s over I won’t get such lovely light like this when I get to work. Isn’t it lovely?
